I Became Vegan by Chemese

My name is Chemese and I currently reside in Abilene, Texas. Some how I really had let myself go: I was obese, out of shape, unhealthy and very unhappy. I realized I just had to change that because I love myself too much. My journey began on December 15, 2012 when I decided that I was going to give it all that I can and lose weight. I knew I didn’t want to do another fad diet, I needed to change my lifestyle so thats exactly what I did. The best way to do this was by adopting a plant based diet. I eat fruits, vegetables, nuts, seeds, legumes, beans, and whole grains. I make smoothies and fresh juice (I successfully completed a 60 day juice/smoothie cleanse on July 4, 2013). I also workout everyday. As for numbers, my starting weight was 305+ pounds. I don’t know how much weight I have lost though simply because that number isn’t important to me anymore. What is more important is that I have gained control over my health which is more than I wanted. One thing is for sure, I’m not exactly where I want to be but I’m so glad I’m not where I used to be. My journey doesn’t end here. I hope that my journey inspires others.

    I have been trying to lose weight again because I lost 40 plus pounds and gained it back in two years! Since I lost my job I can’t get it together, It hurts so much That I have allowed myself to weight 207 lbs. I NEED HELP!!!!

      I had lost weight about two years ago too and put it all back plus some. I am now 50 lbs overweight. None of my clothes fit and I feel so lethargic. But I have pushed to do yoga. It forces me to begin my workout routine and also allows to de stress. You’ve had a wrench thrown into your life. Finding acceptance and motivation can be done yoga. YouTube has free videos or get a book or take a community class if your able to in your area. Some studios in Mi offer a free class once a week. Good luck! And Namaste. :-)
