After a hard break-up with my first boyfriend/relationship/everything in 2009, I drowned my sorrows in fast food, all you can eat buffets, video games, and pure laziness. I also began a new job where I literally sat on my butt for 8 hours a day. After waking up one morning and seeing how large I had gotten (gained 40lbs in just over a year), I decided to do something about it. I didn’t take the easy route that everyone at work was doing (the quick and easy B-12 shot), I went about it just by exercising and eating smarter and eating less.

In time, all the other women who had jumped o the B-12 bandwagon began to fall back into their old habits, and actually ending up heavier than they were before.

By the time 2011 came around, I had lost 40 lbs just by keeping up with my healthy eating and keeping active on a regular basis. Here I am in 2012, 50lbs lighter and feeling awesome.

I put the fork down and am beyond ecstatic that I did. No matter what the motivation maybe, this has honestly been the best decision I have made to this day. I hope my story inspires others to take charge of their own health and happiness. It’s your life. Take charge!
